I have been on the hunt for a good ergonomic chair and while this one is comfortable, it is not necessarily “ergonomic”. It lacks a lot of the adjustability of ergonomic chairs, specifically in the lower back. While it does provide lumbar support it still causes your back to arch a bit and essentially forces you to lean back in the chair, which is not ideal when you are in an online meeting and don’t want to look too relaxed.
– The leg rest works well and is very comfortable.
– Arm rests are very adjustable and again, comfortable
– The neck rest is ok but it needs to be more adjustable. It works well on me (I’m 5’10”) but does not align well for my wife (5’6″)
– The entire back slides up and down but sometimes it does not want to stay in place.
– The mesh is excellent and keeps me cool.

The charis is very comfortable once you figure out how to sit in it. The bottom seat is not a cushion. It is a mesh hammock. To that end the frame of the hammock you sit in will be right under your hip bones. I have a small chair cushion and it solved the uncomfortable issue. The armrest pad though is another story. The screws that were used were not long enough for the mounting holes. Therefore the armrest pad has lifted up from the mounting spots.
